Abstract
Summary: A method of closing secondary palatal fistulae is described; in small and moderate sized fistulae a combination of buccal and palatal flaps together with bone grafting has been used. In larger defects a flap has been raised from the dorsum of the tongue for closure. The results of 72 palatal fistulae are analysed and the advantages, particularly of the former method, are discussed.
